The learner will be able to:

• Perform safe, hygienic and effective waxing treatments to a commercially acceptable standard and time.
• Adapt treatments to suit the individual client’s needs by analysing the information gathered at a consultation, including contraindications
• Understand the basic key ingredients in waxing preparations · Understand the importance of current legislation appertaining to beauty employment
• Perform aftercare procedures immediately after waxing treatment and give appropriate home care advice[/expandsub2]

Aim of this course
This will enable a candidate to perform safe and effective depilatory waxing treatments. You will achieve a qualification at UK Level 2 national standards, approved by CIBTAC  and recognised internationally. This qualification will enable you to gain employment in the beauty therapy industry.

Examinations:
Theory 20mins (multiple choice paper)
Practical 45mins To include: consultation and treatment of the leg up to the knee and one other area of the examiner’s choice e.g.bikini line or underarm

Anatomy & Physiology is a pre-requisite for all International courses. Taking an Anatomy & Physiology Course will give you the skills of understanding how the body works. Hence giving you a better understanding of how you can meet the needs of your clients as a Spa therapist.  No previous experience is necessary.
